From recent high school graduates to graying seniors, students at MCC-Longview cover a wide spectrum of age and experience.

Bridging that generation gap can be a challenge for any teacher. But some also see that age range as an advantage, one that can make for a positive and unique learning environment.

“It’s great to have multiple ages,” said Jan Troester, an accounting instructor at Longview.  “Everyone has different ideas and it makes people willing to speak out.” [...]
