With spring almost in full bloom and summer and a break from school around the bend, Kansas City and surrounding areas have opened up new doors to these fresh cafes and restaurants.      

  • Sweet Perfection Bakery, 1497 East 151 Street, Olathe, Kan.. Owner Sally Bennett has been baking for over 20 years. This bakery specializes in chocolates, blondie brownies, cupcakes, cookies, mini-desserts, pies, cakes, box lunches, lunch specials and more.   • iPAD JUST A BLIP IN KANSAS CITY

    It’s official. Apple’s new tablet computer, the iPad, went on sale April 3across the country, but it did not make the splash Apple expected.

    “We had a decent line all day,” said sales associate Dillon, at the Apple store in Kansas City, on premiere day. “There was a steady stream of customers.”

    However, on the eve of the premiere at 2:40 a.m., no one was standing in line, nor were there any cars waiting for its opening, defying a tradition among techies. Continue reading
